Fans of adventure sports and active tourism can look forward to this year’s EXPONATURE Nature and Adventure Fair, which is scheduled to take place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre on November 7-9.

Visitors to EXPONATUR 2008 will have the chance to experience new sensations amidst incredible natural scenery, take part in the latest in adventure sports, engage in active travel and enjoy many more possible ways of making the most of their free time in natural surroundings.

At this third fair the range of alternative leisure and adventure activities on offer will be more exciting and participative than ever before, with attractive sports demonstrations and many activities for experts, amateur enthusiasts and fans in general who are seeking to blend adventure, sports, nature and active tourism.

EXPONATUR 2008 will be divided into three sections: mountains, water and air. The "mountains" section will feature rambling, orienteering, cycling tours and mountain biking, climbing, mycology, horseback trekking, snow sports, camping, caravanning and RVs. The "water" section includes white-water activities such as rafting, canyoning and kayaking, underwater activities, rowing, sailing, canoeing, surfing, windsurfing and waterskiing. The "air" section features hot-air balloons, hang gliding, paragliding, autogiro-ing and parachuting.

Firms offering adventure trips and à-la-carte tourism, adventure sports companies, textile and footwear companies, rural accommodation providers, tourist offices, tourist boards and consortia, federations, associations, peripherals, accessories, instruments and materials, foodstuff companies, schools, training course providers, publishing houses and specialist publications will all be present at the event.
